PrEP stands for Pre-Exposure
Prophylaxis.

It’s a daily pill (or sometimes a shot) that you can take to help protect yourself from getting HIV.
It’s safe and super effective if you take it the right way.
It’s for people who may be at risk — and that includes teens and young adults, too!
PrEP doesn’t protect against other STIs (like chlamydia or gonorrhea), so you should still use condoms.
PrEP is like sunscreen for HIV — it doesn’t replace protection, but it adds another strong layer of safety.
